Sapience Analytics reached out to Digital Bungalow in the summer of 2015 to redesign and rebuild their website. During this project I was working with another agency, Create and Conquer, which partnered-up with Digital Bungalow for this project. The Create and Conquer team and I brought the UX/IA design and visual design expertise to the table for Sapience Analytics, with Digital Bungalow at the helm for project management and web analytics direction. The Sapience Analytics project was multi-faceted in what Sapience needed, and what their issues were with their web presence.
One of the first issues Sapience put "on the table" for the team to solve was that of the direction of their website - as in, who was it that they were "speaking" to. With the Create and Conquer team, I contributed to writing the template for User Personas; which proved (both in this instance and in previous projects) to be incredibly valuable in gathering information on the customer's user base, and aid in giving the project a direction from the beginning. An example of some of these personas is in the gallery below. The team from Sapience Analytics was then presented with the User Persona worksheet, with the instructions to fill out five personas, broken into three "tiers" of users - Influencers; Decision Makers; and End Users.
Once the personas were completed, and the combined Digital Bungalow/Create and Conquer team had that information, I set out to analyze the preexisting website for Sapience Analytics to find out how the website accomplished the goals for the personas. This exercise resulted in a revamped sitemap and information architecture for their website, which would help to streamline the experience for their user bases. The sitemap was then presented to the Sapience team during an in-person meeting, with a verbal walkthrough and explanation of the rationale behind the decisions made in the updated sitemap.
These decisions and further discussions with the Sapience team resulted in new wireframes of their soon-to-be website, as well as updated UI designs - which gave a more modern, and professional look and feel.
