Telefonica Movistar - Colombia (also referred to as "Mi Movistar") had been a long-standing customer of MobileAware, having worked with the design and development teams in the past for custom mobile solutions. So, when it came time to being the move to a product/platform approach, it was up to these teams, again, to work with the Movistar team in Bogota to facilitate this move.
My design team helped in the migrating of Mi Movistar - Colombia from their previous, outdated, mobile self-service solution to MobileAware’s self-service product. During this migration, the design team and I were able to illustrate that their users would be able to more effectively, and quickly, accomplish the tasks that they would do on a regular basis in their previous app. Some of these tasks would be: checking their mobile, pre-paid, balance; topping-up their account; changing their plan, if need be; and being able to rectify issues regarding their account, without contacting the Telefonica support desk. The Mi Movistar - Colombia application was also the test-bed for the app metrics platform; which the design team leveraged to identify most trafficked screens and user flows, and prioritize which overall features should be revisited and improved.
