MNOs of the Caribbean

“The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Do you understand?” - Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).

Flow, an MNO (Mobile Network Operator) in the Caribbean, came to MobileAware for an updated mobile platform solution to move their subscribers into a smoother, more intuitive way of tending to their mobile accounts. With this set before us, we worked through the business requirements and objectives from Flow to present them with a viable mobile solution from the framework of the mobile product that MobileAware presented them with.

The design team and I aided in architecting the initial mobile solution for Flow’s self-service mobile application. This application grants their subscribers to check their mobile account status, and rectify issues with it, via their mobile device. Initial launch of the application for Flow was focused on mobile only – however, their subscriber base expands into multi-play (broadband internet, cable, land-line, etc…), and I lead the design team’s efforts in architecting a solution to fit this requirement, as well as MobileAware’s mobile product.

The initial challenge was getting the solution for the mobile-only subscribers up and running, so metrics data could be gathered from the Flow subscribers. The challenge ahead - which became a series of product enhancements - was to bring their "multi-play" subscribers into the fold (broadband, cable, home phone, etc…), and how to handle the features that those services required.
